"The only original Hofner parts are the body, neck & tuners. The guitar was customised by a good friend of mine from Colchester, and alterations include Kent Armstrong humbucking pickups, Fender Tele style control panel with 10db boost switch, Gibson style tail piece & bridge, and new custom designed scratch plate. I believe that the body and neck were purchased from Musicground as 'new/old stock', and the guy that I brought it from just didn't know the guitars full potential. This really is a guitar that Hofner should have built - the neck is to die for & the sound is awesome."
