The top cover of this pickup indicates that it is a Type 511 "Super", which is a twin-coil unit. However, it can be seen from the photo above that this pickup is actually a Type 510 single-coil.
A plate has been fixed to the bottom of the guitar, presumably
by a previous owner as a means of attaching supporting legs? I can't find any
record of Hofner ever offering such an option on their Hawaiian guitars.
