BRUCE'S COMMENTS:
The pictures show the current state of progress. You'll
notice that the colour is a little darker than original - necessary to
slightly camouflage the thinness of the top layer of spruce veneer, following
removal of some deep gouges in the surface. All round though I'm pleased
with my first attempt at a complete strip-down and re-finish, never having
sprayed colour or clear lacquer before.
The guitar stripped-down prior to
refinishing.
