CLIVE REMEMBERS:

"I bought my Congress, s/n 7726, in circa 1960/62 for a fiver! It's needs a little cosmetic attention but is otherwise in good nick - it did proud skiffle work in the 60s.

It's only claim to fame is when like many kids in the 60s I and a bunch of mates made a record. Since I had the only amplified guitar, I played lead guitar. (Oh the dreams of what might have been!! I'd got the chord changes down to less than half a second, so the world was my oyster!)

We went to Regent Sound in Soho where the Stones then recorded, and the bloke in charge made me stop using my home-made amp and let me use one OWNED BY THE STONES!

Sad to say, others were quicker at chord changes, so I went off and did science instead."
