To quote from Christian's E-mail: "I discovered it in a very sorry state earlier this year, thrown on a pile of rubbish outside a house-clearance in Hackney. It was covered in mould suggesting it had been down in a basement. The neck was extremely warped and the back of the neck severely pitted from over enthusiastic capo use. The bridge was cracked and I initially thought that the guitar was beyond salvation but could not bear to see it end up in a skip. I took it to Andy's workshop in Denmark Street where it was wonderfully restored by Graham Noden.
It now has a loud ringing tone and a low action making a joy to play. ( At
present, the most picked up of my five guitars ...!) It has original scratch
plate, heads and bridge (though this has had to modified) to deal with
severe warp of the neck ( which has also been re-planed and re-fretted for
the same reason.)"
