HOFNER MODEL 177 "EXQUISIT" SOLID GUITAR

I have to say that I have never seen fret markers like these used on any other Hofner solid.


       
Note the "zero fret" and the open-gear tuners. The zero fret was not normally used by Hofner on their bolt-on necks, and good quality enclosed-gear tuners were the norm on the 177 model. 

Type 511 "staple" pickups with a "Super" logo stamped on the cover. These are fairly rare.

A very interesting but original case!
