1950's HOFNER MODEL 483  ACOUSTIC GUITAR

The
guitar is strung with steel strings, which is what would have been fitted with when it left the Hofner workshops.






      This photo shows the flame maple used in the back and sides of the body, together with the multiple purfling and binding to the spruce body top. The tail-button jack socket and built in pickup are not of course original. 


 

 

 

 


        



Socaro of Paris were the main Hofner distributor for France in the 1950's and 60's.
