........ BERT IN ACTION WITH THE VETERANS, PLAYING THE HOFNER BANJO BACK IN THE 1970's :

 

The Memorable Order of Tin Hats (M. O. T. H.) is a service veterans' association which has its roots in South Africa.

 

The above two photos have been kindly supplied by Mike Groenewald, Deputy Old Bill of the Oasis Shellhole, West Rand, South Africa.

The banjo, still in its original case..........

..........which is inscribed with Bert's musical career.

 

 

Postscript: The now restored banjo is shortly to be sent back to the M. O. T. H. Oasis Shellhole by James in memory of Bert Mirfin, their past Old Bill.
