No adjustable truss-rod has been fitted to the neck of this guitar, despite the body having been made in February 1961, some 13 months after Hofner introduced the fitting of truss-rods to all their archtops in January 1960. It would therefore appear that in this case a pre-1960's neck has been mated to a 1961 body.
