This guitar was imported into Singapore by the Swee Lee Company who appear to have been Hofner's main agents in Singapore. This firm of music instrument retailers was founded in 1946 and is still in business today.
A "Capitol" body logo is located where normally the Höfner logo would be. The only identification that this is in fact a Hofner product is the "KH" badge on the tailpiece.
