BIRD GOLDEN EAGLE 2/15 WITH MODIFIED CIRCUITRY

This is a 1960's Golden Eagle amp, owned by Cliff Swinscoe, that has been modified by John Chambers in order to improve its performance - i.e. increased volume, greater tone range, reduced tremolo surge, improved reverb unit (Fender replacement), and smoother clipping at a higher volume. Measured output of the amplifier is now 18.22 watts RMS @ 8 ohms (clean) and 20.74 watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

John, of CHAMP ELECTRONICS, NOTTINGHAM, is willing and able to either repair or modify all models of Bird valve amplifiers.

Compare the internal shots of this amp below with the un-modified Golden Eagle photos ELSEWHERE on this website.
